New research from employee benefits specialist Everywhen shows that one third (33%) of employers encourage their employees to utilise health and wellbeing support only when it is requested. This seems to be the most common approach to providing support, yet Everywhen are advising this is not the most useful, since employees might be hesitant to request help. Even more worryingly, more than one tenth (13%) of employers do not actively encourage support at all.
Market research presentations & workshops
How you start a project is just as important as its conclusion, because the way you approach those all-important kick-off sessions can shape the entire research project that follows. Client and stakeholder workshops, and the contents, tone and format of the information cascades and presentations contained within them, can play a key part in ensuring things both begin, and end, on the right note.
Customer satisfaction market research
It’s often cited that just a 5% increase in customer retention can boost profits by 25% to 95%, a compelling statistic that highlights the value of understanding your customers and investing in your relationship with them. While surveys can provide a great starting point for obtaining customer insight, true impact comes from digging far deeper than satisfaction scores alone. You can benchmark satisfaction against other departments, track year-on-year changes, even compare with sector peers.
Local & regional government market research
"Thank you so much for creating the video summarising the results of the Leicester Health and Wellbeing Survey 2024. It’s an outstanding and engaging summary that effectively highlights both the key positives and challenges identified in the survey. The video is now available on our City Council webpages and we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback on this high-quality output.
Lost account market research
According to Harvard Business Review, acquiring a new customer can cost five to 25 times more than keeping an existing customer. And we know that 100% retention isn’t possible. So what should you do when you lose an important account? Cut your losses and move on, or try to learn and improve? Lost account research is one answer to this question. It won’t bring those lost accounts back, but it can help you improve processes, remove pain points and better emphasise your USPs to current clients.

Our panel of people in vulnerable circumstances... Different Perspectives is our in-house consumer panel made up of more than 10,000 people who are currently facing vulnerable circumstances in their day-to-day lives. The panel is highly engaged and gives us, and our clients, a direct route to connect with audiences who are often harder to reach through standard research methods.

Market research case study: How the Wales Coast Path and National Trails benefit local businesses
In 2013, Natural Resources Wales (NRW) published a research study which evaluated the benefits to businesses of the opening of the Wales Coast Path. Prior to this, a research study was undertaken in 2006, which focused on the National Trails in Wales. In November 2023, NRW commissioned DJS Research to undertake an updated study of businesses, to cover both the Wales Coast Path and National Trails in Wales.

Mixed mode market research
As we offer the full range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies at DJS Research, we draw on this extensive toolkit to craft bespoke solutions for every client brief. When it comes to surveys, the methods we recommend will depend on the nature of the research and the target audiences and in many cases we know that using just one research method would lead to a degree of response bias; that’s where a mixed mode approach comes in.
