2026 has been the year of the performance trainer. For the first time in a while, we have seen a solid increase in the number of lighter performance shoes. While some still sit within the super trainer category. others have debuted at $150 price ranges with simple but effective non-plated designs. The Deviate Pure Nitro is another addition to this category, featuring Nitro foam cushioning without a plate and a more simple geometry.
