The 21st International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 9–12 February 2027, bringing together an international community to share developments, ideas and practical work in digital curation. The call for Poster and Demonstration proposals is open until 16 October 2026. Poster submissions offer an opportunity to showcase and promote your work visually, exchange ideas with other delegates and gather feedback.

The NDSA has released the results of the 2025 Staffing Survey, the fourth in its longitudinal study of digital preservation staffing and skills. The survey finds continued progress in policy, infrastructure, and assessment, alongside a highly capable and committed workforce. At the same time, insufficient staffing remains a significant barrier, with many practitioners balancing digital preservation responsibilities alongside other duties.

Three new practical resources are now available as part of the DPC’s Digital Preservation Toolkit for Community Archives, expanding the guidance available in response to feedback from the wider digital preservation community. As part of the Towards a National Collection project ‘Our Heritage, Our Stories’ (OHOS), the Toolkit was created in collaboration with a wide range of community archive groups to help them care for and preserve their digital collections.

World Digital Preservation Day 2026 is approaching, and once again we are inviting DPC Members and Supporters to share their perspectives through the DPC blog! Taking place on 5 November, this year’s WDPD theme is: Save Our Stories (SOS): Our digital heritage in danger.

The Smithsonian Libraries and Archives (SLA) is part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world's largest museum, education, and research complex.

The iPRES 2025 conference organisers have announced that the complete iPRES 2025 Proceedings are now available. Alongside the conference submissions, the proceedings provide a wider record of the iPRES 2025 conference, including the programme and keynotes, information about the hosts, venue, themes and organisation, award winners, sponsors, and the social programme.

The program for the DPC Members Forum and Networking Event – Australasia/Asia-Pacific is taking shape, and we’re looking forward to bringing DPC Members together on 29 and 30 October, online and in person in Melbourne.

A multifaceted cultural heritage organization consisting of the Getty Conservation Institute, Getty Foundation, Getty Museum, and Getty Research Institute, Getty is dedicated to the presentation, conservation, and interpretation of the world's artistic legacy.
