Madras High Court pens advisory in English, Hindi & Tamil; asks women not to share intimate photos, videos
CHENNAI: The Madurai bench of the Madras High Court upheld the life sentence awarded to a convict for sexually exploiting and blackmailing multiple women, while cautioning young girls and women against sharing intimate photos or videos online. In its order, the bench comprising Justices Anand Venkatesh and KK Ramakrishnan included an advisory in English, Hindi and Tamil, warning women that sharing intimate material digitally could result in irreversible consequences.

Pocso lifer succumbs to cancer at Stanley hospital
CHENNAI: A 67-year-old life convict died while undergoing treatment for health complications at Government Stanley Hospital on Tuesday (July 14). Rajkumar of Tiruvallur's Tiruvallangadu was arrested under the Pocso Act in 2014 and was sentenced to life imprisonment after conviction. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and was shifted to the Stanley Hospital for intensive care, said prison officials. On Tuesday (July 14), he died without responding to treatment.

Vietnam boat tragedy: Bodies of Tamil Nadu victims arrive in Coimbatore, Tiruchy
Fifteen Indian tourists, including 10 from Tamil Nadu, were killed when a tourist boat capsized in Vietnam earlier this week.
