CONCORD — AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is gearing up for the 2027 tax season and seeking volunteers across New Hampshire, particularly in the Seacoast area, to help provide free tax preparation services to local residents. Tax-Aide prepares and e-files more free tax returns for New Hampshire residents than all other free tax services combined.

CONCORD —New Hampshire’s Youth Pheasant Hunting Weekend will be held statewide on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26–27, 2026. Participating youth must be aged 15 or younger and must be accompanied by a properly licensed adult aged 18 or older. Accompanying adults must possess a current hunting license and pheasant permit, and are also prohibited from carrying a firearm, bow and arrow, or crossbow that could otherwise lawfully be used for hunting.

SALEM — The city of Salem celebrated the restoration of the historic Lansdowne portrait of President George Washington on Tuesday, with the painting now returned to City Hall where it has hung since 1862.
