Ealing Council launched a child protection plan after mistakenly noting that a child had a sexually transmitted infection (STI). A report by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman states the child's parent brought them to see a GP after noticing lesions in their private area, after which a doctor said "it is unusual to happen at this age group, and commented it could happen via sexual activity".

A GP practice in West London has been told it must improve after the healthcare watchdog raised concerns about patient consent and dignity. Grosvenor House Surgery, at 147 Broadway in West Ealing, was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) earlier this year. It determined that the practice 'requires improvement' against four out of five areas assessed.

Ealing Council failed an elderly father with Parkinson's related dementia by not answering his emails and calls, a watchdog has ruled. The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has ruled that the council must apologise and retrain staff due to the failings. In November 2024, the man, referred to as Mr X in the report, was discharged from hospital. Having previously lived independently, the council assessed that Mr X would now need reablement care with two carers attending four times a day.

Ealing Council is set to decide on the redevelopment of the Northolt Post Office later this week. Councillors on Ealing's planning committee will decide whether to approve plans to demolish the Post Office and former sorting office on 46 Mandeville Road in Northolt on Wednesday, August 19. Council documents indicate that councillors have been advised to approve the application. If approved, the Post Office will be temporarily closed during construction as the existing building will be knocked down.
