I am undergoing a week’s experience at Eastside Radio, and I am hoping to further my knowledge and skills in the music industry. I have many hobbies and interests such as fishing, gaming, music, golfing, going to the gym and playing footy. I have a strong passion for music, and I am a musician. I play the drums, and I have been playing since I was 13 years old.

Friday 7 August 2026 Joan Sutherland Theatre Opera Australia Review by Paul Neeson (Arts Wednesday) The Drover’s Wife – The Opera The Drover’s Wife is a story that has endured over 130 years through many iterations, to become firmly embedded in the Australian psyche. From Henry Lawson’s short story (1892), Russel Drysdale’s painting (1945) to Leah Purcell’s reimagining as a play (2016), a novel (2019) and a film (2021).

Review by Anthony Frater (Arts Wednesday) Michael Zavros: Alex with his tefflin in the sea. On the 30th of July 2026 the Art Gallery of New South Wales announced the winner of its annual People’s Choice award as part of this year’s Archibald Prize. The winner is a painting by Michael Zavros called, Alex with his tefflin in the sea. The physical likeness between artist and subject is eerily uncanny. In fact Zavros recently did a DNA test and found he has Ashkenazi Jewish heritage.

Randwick Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit community organization that has been providing nutritious, dietician-approved meals for over 60 years to older people across Randwick, Waverley and Bayside; supporting their health, wellbeing and independence in times of need. Run by community volunteers, their primary goal is not just food delivery, but also to provide regular check in’s to the local elderly community to help reduce the loneliness and social isolation that can come in these times.

Bittersweet Productions performances of rare one-act plays from across all points in history is back on again for another season! Hamed Sadeghi presents Comfortable, a new work for an 8-piece ensemble of tar, woodwinds, brass, double bass and percussions that weave together ancient Middle Eastern resonance and contemporary jazz. This is music that fills a room with something hard to name but impossible to ignore. Described by Sydney Morning Herald as “one of Australia’s most poetic composers,” Sadeghi has spent years developing a compositional voice that sits outside easy categorisation.
