Emanuel “Manny” Yekutiel dropped out of the District 8 supervisor race October 1. His downfall from perceived frontrunner to a spectacular implosion came hours after a second allegation of sexual misconduct. “After a great deal of reflection, I have made the difficult decision to end my campaign for District 8 supervisor,” he stated to the Bay Area Reporter. “I am not admitting to having assaulted anyone and some of the things that are being said about me are fundamentally untrue.
The legend of Camille O’Grady – New limited edition book rediscovers the singer and artist
“Lou Reed calls her ‘Patti Smith without a social conscience’” - Lynn A Bahlman, Blueboy Dec. 1978 Philip Zimmerman’s biography, “Camille O’Grady Art/Life: A Cross Worlds Angel” is a lush and beautiful tribute to the late singer and artist. It’s also something that I never expected to see. I knew O’Grady, and at the time of her death in 2020, it seemed as if all of her work, both her visual work and her songs, would be lost and remain simply legendary.
Mandelman, one of Yekutiel’s last backers, drops endorsement
Gay Board of Supervisors President Rafael Mandelman and District 8 supervisor candidate Emanuel “Manny” Yekutiel have shared a Tuesday morning walk around the neighborhood for years. After two rounds of sexual misconduct allegations against Yekutiel, Mandelman stood by him. But as of Thursday afternoon, not anymore. “Manny is an extraordinary person who has made extraordinary contributions to San Francisco,” Mandelman stated via Instagram the afternoon of October 1.
SF mayor Lurie withdraws endorsement of Yekutiel in D8 supervisor race
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie has withdrawn his endorsement of perceived frontrunner Emanuel “Manny” Yekutiel in the District 8 supervisor race. Meanwhile, another city political leader, District 1 Supervisor Connie Chan, called for Yekutiel to drop out of the race.

With just days to go until ballots are sent out in the District 8 supervisor race, which includes San Francisco’s Castro LGBTQ neighborhood, a second round of accusations of sexual misconduct against the perceived frontrunner have surfaced. This time, a gay male couple are accusing Emanuel “Manny” Yekutiel of groping them at a Pride party three years ago.

What to Look For in a Poly Dating App Before You Join
It can be difficult to meet other folks who are open to polyamory. People who practice ethical non-monogamy often rely on dating apps to help them connect. That’s great, but finding the right one can be challenging. Not every dating app is welcoming to polyamorous users. Of those that are, many have not done much beyond offering a few new filters and identity options. If you just randomly select apps that have a non-monogamy option, you might be disappointed.
Political Notes: Newsom signs intersex, trans insurance access bill into law
Among the last bills outgoing Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law this year was legislation to protect intersex youth and adults, as well as transgender and nonbinary people, from being denied benefits by health insurance companies licensed in the state of California. His doing so comes as the Trump administration instituted a rule this year that insurers via the federal Affordable Care Act could not cover gender-affirming care as an essential health benefit.

More than a year after the Trump administration ended the specialized services LGBTQ youth could access when calling the federal suicide prevention hotline 988, known as the “Press 3” option, it has finally returned.
