Chonnam National University Researchers Develop New Composite Electrolyte That Improves Safety and Lifespan of Lithium-Metal Batteries
Lithium metal batteries (LMBs), that use pure lithium (Li) for their negative electrodes, are attracting significant attention due to their extremely high theoretical capacity. However, their practical applications are limited by low cycling stability and safety issues, arising from dendrite formation, electrolyte breakdown and uneven solid-electrolyte interface formation. Solid-state electrolytes are a promising solution to address these challenges.

Is It Better to Live with AI Running Amok or Without AI at All? (Part 1)
I was chatting with a friend the other day (stop laughing, it’s true, I do have friends). We were discussing the ever-increasing use of AI. A couple of topics particularly piqued my interest: what would happen if AI were to run amok, and what would we all do if AI were to suddenly become unavailable. I love today’s technology, but I’m sort of glad that I grew up in the days before it became so pervasive. We didn’t even have access to electronic pocket calculators when I started high school in 1968.
