TECHEU VD NH1 TIDAL POWER (IEU GT4) NORMANDIE HYDROLIENNES SAS Energy - Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply The project supports the construction and commissioning of NH1, a 12 MW pilot (FOAK) tidal array located in Raz Blanchard, off the coast of Normandy, France. The aim is to develop and deploy a 12 MW first-of-a-kind tidal energy array in Raz Blanchard, using four 3 MW submerged tidal turbines to generate approximately 34 GWh of renewable electricity annually.

EIB Global and World Food Programme expand climate-risk insurance for Ethiopian smallholder farmers
World Food Programme Up to €4 million grant to the World Food Programme to support microinsurance for smallholder farmers in Ethiopia. Grant complements EIB’s €110 million credit line to the third phase of Ethiopia’s Rural Financial Intermediation Programme. Around 210,000 smallholder farmers are expected to be covered by adapted microinsurance products against crop and livestock losses linked to adverse weather conditions or natural disasters.
