TI Chips Enable GE Connected Laundry Appliances
GE Appliances is partnering with Texas Instruments (TI) to integrate U.S.-made semiconductor solutions into its upcoming connected home appliances, including next-generation laundry products. The components will be used at GE Appliances’ new Louisville, Kentucky, laundry manufacturing facility, which is expected to begin production in 2027. Through the agreement, TI will supply around one-third of the semiconductor components needed for appliances produced at the facility.
Würth Elektronik Launches WE-MCRI 1090HL Coupled Inductor
Würth Elektronik has expanded its WE-MCRI series with the new 1090HL (High Leakage) coupled inductor, designed specifically for SEPIC, ZETA, and Ćuk DC-DC converter applications. Instead of minimizing leakage inductance like conventional coupled inductors, this new component is engineered to make controlled use of it, helping improve electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) while supporting more compact power supply designs.
