KATHMANDU: The UAE Search and Rescue Team continues its field operations in the Republic of Nepal as part of the UAE's humanitarian efforts to support Nepalese authorities in search and rescue operations following the devastating floods that struck the country. In coordination with Nepalese authorities, the team succeeded in locating six missing people in the Trishuli area as field search operations continue in the affected areas.

Dubai: The latest results of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025 revealed that the UAE is making progress in controlling phones inside schools, as 90.1% of the country’s students study in schools that do not allow their use, compared to 49.5% in Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries. Experts and academics confirmed that banning phones in schools enhances the learning environment and reduces digital distractions.

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Commercial Court of First Instance ordered a wedding planning company and its manager to return to a young man the sum of Dh12,640, which he had paid in advance to organise his wedding, in addition to compensating him with Dh10,000, after it was proven that they had breached their contractual obligations and failed to carry out the ceremony on the agreed date, which forced him to seek the help of another company to complete his wedding ceremony.
