Earth Month is here, and Endicott College will celebrate Earth Day with a campus-wide rally on Wednesday, April 22. This year’s event, which brings together students, faculty, and staff for a day of environmental action, reflection, and community, will feature a keynote address from Andrew Ference, a 16-year National Hockey League (NHL) veteran who spent seven years with the Boston Bruins.

On April 29, Endicott College will debut its inaugural Women in Design conference, organized by the Graphic Design and Interior Architecture clubs. Held in the Manninen Center for the Arts from 4–5:30 p.m., the event spotlights and celebrates the impact of women across graphic design and interior architecture. Endicott College will welcome Soledad O’Brien, an award-winning journalist, documentarian, and media entrepreneur, as the speaker for its 86th Commencement on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Hempstead Stadium. O’Brien is a nationally respected voice in journalism and storytelling, known for her decades-long career across broadcast, documentary film, and public affairs media.

Cherie Pierce Lynch, Assistant Professor of Experiential Learning, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Faculty Champion Award from the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA). The Faculty Champion Award recognizes educators who go above and beyond to push the field forward through innovation, leadership, and a deep commitment to student success.

Just 30 minutes outside of New York City, Grace Ahearn ’27 grew up with Broadway practically in her backyard. The New Jersey native and nursing major got her first taste of theater with Wicked, and while the spectacle pulled her in, it was what was happening behind the scenes that stuck with her in the long run. “I was like, ‘Wow, how’d they do all that?’ It’s so incredible how people do that eight times a week and put on such phenomenal shows each night.

In today’s media landscape, women remain underrepresented behind the camera, with only a small percentage of major film and television productions directed by women. For Alana Lorusso ’25 and Brooke Rameaka ’26, those statistics aren’t discouraging—they’re motivating. Determined to help shift the narrative, the two are beginning to create change and representation right here at Endicott.

Endicott College will welcome actor, author, and former White House staff member Kal Penn as part of its Presidential Speaker Series, which brings influential voices to campus for timely conversations around leadership, service, culture, and civic engagement. The event will take place on April 29, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Cleary Lecture Hall, Hempstead Commons. Tickets are free and open to the public.
