Let’s check in with a colleague to see how*Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced* is performing. As a reminder, this is a remake of the original 2013 game from Ubisoft. In addition to updated graphics, the game features gameplay improvements and additional story elements. However, the hardware requirements have skyrocketed, so let’s see how it performs! Is it aVRAM hog? If you run the game with graphics settings at their lowest, it’s actually quite memory-efficient.
A Review of a fake Samsung 870 Evo SSD!
Be wary of counterfeit SSDs. In fact, some are very well made and feature packaging and a physical appearance that are nearly identical to the original. Some even go so far as to deliver solid performance. Others, however, are complete junk—there’s no other way to put it.
HWMonitor now reads the Hotspot sensor on the RTX 50 series!
Just recently, we learned that NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series does indeed feature a hotspot sensor. This sensor is used to measure the highest temperature on theGPUdie, rather than the average temperature. This is a useful measurement because it helps identify poor contact when reassembling a heatsink, for example.
The hotspot sensor is definitely present in the RTX 50 series!
According to Paulo Gomez, a specialist repair technician based in Brazil, the RTX 50 series retains its hotspot sensor. As the name suggests, this sensor provides information on the highest temperature on the GPU core. It’s a very useful sensor, as it helps detect thermal anomalies on the chip when reassembling the heatsink—for example, after replacing the thermal paste or installing a water block.
ASRock’s TempGuard also melts!
Ouch, ouch, ouch… Even ASRock’s graphics card protection technology eventually fails. A concrete example is this RTX 5090 and this PG1000-PSF power supply, where TempGuard unfortunately failed to protect the system. In fact, the connector on the power supply side melted, even though the protection didn’t even kick in! A power supply affected! Simply put, TempGuard is a protection feature built into certain power supplies from the brand.
At what price will Thermaltake launch its Capo X?
During Computex, we had the opportunity to see the Capo X case numerous times at the brand’s booth. Indeed, to say the least, the case was front and center. In any case, it’s worth noting that this is a rather unique model, as it can accommodate up to two complete micro-ATX setups. So, instead of having two cases, you only need one—saving you space! Micro-ATX compatible and dual 360 mm! With this case, we’re looking at a model that emphasizes a vertical design.
CFV220 RGB: Three glass panels for this Cougar case!
Cougar is set to release a new case, the CFV220, a new model that features three tempered glass panels to provide a clear view of the system’s interior. Additionally, to maximize airflow, it features a front-mounted power supply bay and unobstructed fan mounts at the bottom! Airflow that promises to be efficient: With this new model, the brand offers a mid-tower case. It measures 235 (W) x 446 (D) x 504 (H) mm.
An RTX 5090 SE to bridge the gap between the RTX 5080 and the RTX 5090?
Currently, the RTX 5090 serves as the flagship model in NVIDIA’s consumer graphics card lineup. It holds the title of the world’s most powerful GPU and is also the most expensive consumer graphics card. Finally, there’s a significant gap in price and performance compared to the card just below it in the manufacturer’s lineup: the RTX 5080. While a 5090 retails for €4,000, the RTX 5080 is available for between €1,300 and €1,400.
SwaFan 120 Ex Infinity: Fans with Wood Accents from Thermaltake
Thermaltake has been quite prolific lately, as the company has been announcing all the products it showcased at Computex. Earlier this morning, we saw the Dockpower FI power supplies, preceded by the ST360 Ultra ARGB AIOs. This time, it’s the turn of some new fans to be unveiled. The brand is announcing its SwaFan 120 Ex Infinity Wood Edition. Wood on fans! These fans feature wooden accents on the frame, particularly at the four corners and along the edges.
AMD is expected to announce its Zen 6 processors sometime in July!
Zen 6 is on its way, and it shouldn’t be long before we hear official news about the next evolution of AMD’s architecture. In fact, during the RAISE Summit—Paris AI Summit 2026—Mark Papermaster, AMD’s executive vice president and chief technology officer, announced that a presentation would be made at the Advancing AI 2026 conference.
