Brightview Senior Living (Baltimore) has opened Brightview Northfax in Fairfax City, Va., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to patch.com. The community houses 200 residential units, including 110 independent living apartments and a 90-unit assisted living and memory care neighborhood. Independent living units offer one- and two-bedroom floor plans with full kitchens. Amenities include a café, beauty salon, fitness room, art studio, bocce ball court, and outdoor gardens.

Judson Senior Living (Cleveland) has started construction on a new memory care neighborhood at its South Franklin Circle campus in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, according to a news release. The A. William & Joanne Reynolds Memory Care Neighborhood features a small house model comprising three buildings, each serving up to 36 residents, for a total of 108 units. Developer Fairfield Homes (Lancaster, Ohio) has opened Reserve at Hunter Trace, a new affordable senior living community in Lancaster, Ohio, according to the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette. The 95-unit community for residents 55+ offers one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a library, yoga studio, and on-site healthcare provided by Fairfield Community Health Center (Lancaster, Ohio). Gorsuch Construction (Lancaster, Ohio) served as general contractor on the project.

Developer Bangor Housing (Bangor, Maine) is nearing completion on the construction of Sunridge Senior Housing, a new affordable senior living community in Bangor, Maine, according to wabi.tv. The $16 million project comprises a 3-story, 50-unit community, which is expected to open this summer. Of the 50 units, 44 are one-bedroom floor plans and six are two-bedroom. Amenities include a community space, on-site laundry, and accessibility features such as walk-in showers and grab bars.

Owner-operator Benchmark Senior Living (Waltham, Mass.) and developer National Development (Newton Lower Falls, Mass.) plan to begin construction this summer on Benchmark at East Islip, a new senior living community in East Islip, N.Y., according to a news release. The project comprises 90 assisted living and memory care units, including 64 single- and double-occupancy assisted living units and 26 memory care apartments, for a total of 104 beds.

The Bristal Assisted Living (Bohemia, N.Y.) has completed renovations to The Bristal at Lynbrook in Lynbrook, N.Y., according to a news release. The project updates existing dining and common spaces, including the library, while adding a wellness gym to support cognitive fitness, neuroplasticity, and overall brain health. The Osborn, a senior living community in Rye, N.Y., is set to begin construction on a major expansion, according to the Rye Record. Plans for the 56-acre community include 108 new independent living and assisted living units, a wellness center, renovated dining venues, and other flexible recreation areas. The wellness center features a lap pool, sauna, golf simulator, and multipurpose fitness studios.

Pioneer Companies (construction manager; Syracuse, N.Y.), Peregrine Senior Living (owner/operator; Syracuse, N.Y.), and First Point Development (developer; Syracuse, N.Y.) have broken ground on Peregrine Senior Living at Fayetteville in Fayetteville, N.Y., according to cnycentral.com. The $20 million project comprises a 38,000-square-foot memory care community with 68 beds across 64 units. The community is expected to open in summer 2027. Developer Newbury Companies (Powell, Ohio) has received city planning board approval to build The Beacon, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Dublin, Ohio, according to hoodline.com. The $100 million senior living campus will span 21.5 acres and be completed in phases. Phase one will comprise a 4-story building with 141 independent living and assisted living units.
