D&D Beyond dropped a preview of the backgrounds/factions in Arcana Unleashed along with a description of the origin feat for each.There is one for each school of magic and a 9th for magic thieves. Each faction gets a background and feat and extra benefits for gaining renown. They aren't limited to specialist wizards though.The nine origin feats tend to run on a theme: a bonus cantrip and an ability you can use prof per day.

I've recently acquired Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition and have Age of Worms, Carrion Crown, Council of Thieves, Kingmaker, and Serpent's Skull in a box around here someplace. I plan to do do a E6 run of Pathfinder based on the Beginner Box and Ed O'War's excellent supplemental material later this year. What adventure paths should I pick up, in your opinion?

Eh, it was the plot of the comic book it's based on, and everybody thinks that was great. I feel like the "it's John Wick" just because it has a dog in it style review is a really lazy critique. Sure, Iron Man is Halloween, because somebody has a mask in it. Rocky is Mortal Combat because somebody has a fight in it. Goldfinger is Fast & Furious because somebody has a cool car in it. Star Wars is Alien, because they both have a spaceship in it. Hang on, Alien had a kid in it too.

My dad absolutely loved the Rocky movies. He would probably have loved to see this too. I can see how Sly would have not been their first choice. Charles Bronson is mentioned as a possible star for the film. I think he would have been way too old for the role. If it was a washed up has been come back movie I could see it.

Offense is dynamic (the attacker rolls), while defense is static (the defender puts up a threshold to beat). • There are three defenses: Reflex Class, Will Class, Fortitude Class. These are static thresholds to be met by attackers who are rolling. There is no Armor Class. • There are 6 offenses, one per stat. These are used to make attack rolls against any of the three defenses (determined by the weapon/ability/spell/power you attack with).
