UK TV: A DIAGNOSIS
Pip Pip and Tally Ho Peaceniks - today I’m coming to you from the UK! A year ago, I stood in front of the UK television industry at MIPLondon and told them that unless they changed their conceptions of “broadcast” to include social video, they would lose the three youngest generations of British audiences forever and face irrelevancy. I told them the streaming wars were over, Netflix had won, and that YouTube was where they should be focusing new attention and energy.

RIP DEI
Happy Sunday Peaceniks. Ready to diversify? For many years, America has been obsessed with DEI. The issue, for this issue, is that there is no single, true definition of the issue. If I had to guess, I’d say a significant number of people use the phrase “DEI” without knowing that it stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. And, of those who do know the terms “DEI” represents, I’d wager a meaningful share don’t fully understand the difference between the three words.
