PWHL's Minnesota Frost re-signs Stecklein, Zumwinkle
Defender Lee Stecklein and forward Grace Zumwinkle are staying put in Minnesota after the PWHL's Frost re-signed both players on Friday. Zumwinkle signed a three-year contract and Stecklein a two-year deal, with both added to Minnesota's protected list in the third phase of the PWHL's expansion process. Each of the existing PWHL teams are allowed to protect three additional players in this phase after initially being allowed to protect three.

Oklahoma's Sam Landry No. 1 pick in Athletes Unlimited draft
Oklahoma pitcher Sam Landry was the No. 1 pick in the 12-player Athletes Unlimited Softball draft Saturday. The Volts, one of four teams in the new league that will begin play June 7, chose the Louisiana-Lafayette transfer. Landry has an 18-3 record and a 1.97 ERA this season. She is a key reason the Sooners are ranked No. 1 in the ESPN/USA Softball and USA Today/NFCA polls heading into the SEC tournament. The Talons chose Arkansas infielder Bri Ellis at No. 2.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League to debut June 7
The Athletes Unlimited Softball League plans to play in 10 cities from June 7 to July 23. This will be the first time Athletes Unlimited offers a traditional team-based format for softball. Previously, there have been two seasons each year with individual championships. In the AUSL, the Bandits, Blaze, Talons and Volts will play 24 games each, the league announced in a news release on Monday.

As the founder of The Moxie League, whose tagline is "It's more than basketball," Crawford had first-hand experience with what participating in competitive sports does for the development of young women. As a child, she played in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama, and went on to play at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.
