This innovative seminar, shaped in the form of a hackathon, is dedicated to CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) best practices. During the seminar, six teams will collaborate to create the best actionable EWC CSRD strategy, showcasing in practice all opportunities arising from the EWC's engagement in sustainability reporting.

This seminar, dedicated to the Revised EWC Directive, has a particular focus on how the revised EWC Directive can support developing efficient and impactful information & consultation architecture at EWC level. We will translate the new rules into the language of actions, looking for the answers to ‘if, when and how exactly’ the I&C in your EWC agreement needs to be improved to make the most of the new Directive and unlock the opportunity to influence decision-making.

As Western Europe swelters in the most severe and widespread heatwave ever, the ETUI has come forward with a timely proposal for European legislation to protect workers' health during heatwaves. The report “Climate change and workers’ health” (pre-order here) was presented on 25 June, on the occasion of a very well-attended conference in Brussels. The event was co-organised with three European sectoral trade union federations whose members are particularly affected.

More than thirty trade unionists from 16 European countries met in Thessaloniki on 23–24 June 2026 to discuss chemical exposure and workers’ protection. This annual seminar, organised by the ETUI, brings together occupational health experts to coordinate trade union action on the prevention of chemical risks in the workplace.

EU Inc, otherwise known as the 28th regime, has made a big splash in Brussels recently. In March of this year, the European Commission proposed what it terms a ‘single set of corporate rules across the EU’ that companies – with a particular focus on startups – could opt into rather than having to navigate the myriad of national legal regimes on the continent. It is a flagship policy of the Commission's agenda for a more competitive European economy.

This second issue of the SEER Journal for Labour and Social Affairs in Eastern Europe for 2025 focuses on ‘Economic and social developments in south-east Europe’. The first block of articles devoted to this particular theme starts with an account by Sanja Paunović and Bruno S. Sergi, two economists from the Southeast Europe Trade Union Economic Experts network, of the prospects for economic growth alongside an exploration of the erosion of social rights in the region.

This 12-week online course will involve about 36 hours of individual work. Learners can follow the course at their own rhythm by accessing the online training platform at any moment. Online tutors will support participants during the training. The course covers the intermediate level of English.
