When you were at the EUI, what was your research on? During my stay at EUI I had a comparative research project on housing conditions and housing policies in Europe. Looking at how different European regions compare in terms of living space per capita, but also in terms of policies to support families with children to access housing. I am still working on the latter. Your time as a Max Weber fellow, how has that shaped you professionally?

This online debate will offer the opportunity to look into the legislative proposal and to discuss with representatives of the involved actors the possible options that can be adopted to address the above-mentioned implementing aspects.

Today, the European Commission and the European University Institute launch the Energy Regulation Academy (EnRA), a new EU-funded initiative to help national authorities across all Member States in turning EU electricity sector reforms into concrete change on the ground.

The Academy, titled ‘Politics, Policies and Inequalities: Micro-foundations and Institutional Dynamics’, brought together participants from a wide range of backgrounds, representing 20 countries through their nationalities and academic affiliations. Over the course of the week, they explored some of the major challenges shaping contemporary European societies, including democracy, political participation, inequalities, artificial intelligence and transnational solidarity.

The Academy, titled ‘Politics, Policies and Inequalities: Micro-foundations and Institutional Dynamics’, brought together participants from a wide range of backgrounds, representing 20 countries through their nationalities and academic affiliations. Over the course of the week, they explored some of the major challenges shaping contemporary European societies, including democracy, political participation, inequalities, artificial intelligence and transnational solidarity.

The event brought together 42 students of the Master in Transnational Governance, 18 Policy Leader Fellows, senior and visiting fellows, Faculty and staff, marking the start of a new year of learning, exchange and collaboration. At the end of the month, 27 participants of the Global Executive Master (GEM) will also join the School.
