The Everyman

Inside of Kamala’s possibly Cabernet-clouded cranium, it appears that only one concept rings clear above all others: Abortion rights must be protected without exception. During an NBC interview last Tuesday, Harris was asked if, in the event of a divided government, she would consider any religious exemptions for abortion? She replied, “I don’t think we should be making concessions when we’re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body.” So no exceptions.

h goody! In a online media environment that’s already overly saturated with people’s opinions, we have yet another group of people proposing to do something similar (to be fair, we started this endeavor over six years ago). Why bother subscribing with The Everyman when there’re a host of other publications calling for our time and attention? It’s a fair question, and one that I’ve considered both from the perspective of a writer and as a reader of commentary.

Regardless of one’s opinions of the Daily Wire, the company has done much recently to push back against the Left in the ongoing culture wars. Aside from its news and conservative commentary, they have also produced many well-made documentaries, such Scamala, which is an in-depth review of Kamala Harris’ unprincipled political career, and Mexico’s Door: The Center of America’s Border Fight, a rather frightening look at the horrors going on at the southern border.

People get around by various means. While preferring to ride to reduce fatigue, we humans are meant to walk or run when necessary. While infants are unable to do this, toddlers gradually master these skills as their skeletal frame calcifies and their muscular coordination improves with practice and growth. Perhaps most of us take our pedes locomotion for granted, but we shouldn’t. After all the apostle Paul advised “… The head can’t say to the feet, ‘I don’t need you!’...

Most would agree that the process of human “reproduction” involves creating life and the act of the human species reproducing itself, while the term “reproductive care” denotes assistance and maintenance (i.e., “care”) with the act of reproducing. In other words, the production of offspring. We know that life is complex, which makes assisting life a complicated undertaking that requires a significant degree of care.

Monogamous commitment formed between heterosexual couples in their reproductive years has constituted a common aspiration and a conventional expectation within developed societies for the past few centuries, despite it not being the norm for most of human history.

Fellow Everyman writer Vincent Weaver recently articulated some insightful reflections of political apathy regarding the current presidential contest, announcing his rejection of incumbent Vice President Harris, while being disinclined to support former President Trump. I am deeply sympathetic with his view and have on occasion been drawn to prioritizing my principles in casting my somewhat trivial vote.

During an appearance on the All The Smoke Podcast, Vice President Kamala Harris met with two multimillionaire professional basketball players to lay out her sad vision for (and of) America. One clip from this meeting that caught the eye of conservative pundits was one of Ms. Harris reminding us that progress is almost impossible without people marching in the streets.

Other than us lowly deplorables, is anybody on Donald Trump’s side? It’s one thing for our monotonal media, kooky academia, cult-like corporations, the soulless soul stealers of Silicon Valley, and every billionaire in America (save one) to be in hysterical opposition to Trump. But it’s quite another for our conservative thought leaders to pile on as the Republican candidate sits bleeding – does anyone remember the first assassination attempt?

During the month of June Louisiana’s governor Jeff Landry signed a bill which required all public school classrooms within the state to display the Ten Commandments.
