VinFast Auto India, a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, has launched the VF MPV 7 electric multi-purpose vehicle in India, with a starting price of ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the company’s third product introduction in India within a year. The vehicle is equipped with a 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a claimed range of 517 km (ARAI-certified). It supports DC fast charging of up to 80 kW, with charging from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes.

According to the company, the final batch of 90 buses was handed over by India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, to Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam as part of an engagement involving officials from both countries.

Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited (LMEL) has completed the diesel-to-electric conversion of a Liebherr R 996 excavator, which the company said is the first machine in this category to be retrofitted for fully electric operations. According to the company, the project is part of its efforts to align mining operations with decarbonisation and industrial innovation initiatives in India.

Electric Motorcycles,  Electric two-wheelers 3 min read Royal Enfield’s electric mobility brand Flying Flea has launched its first motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6 (FF.C6). The model will be available from April 10 at the brand’s first store in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Bookings and test rides will open at 12 pm on April 10, while deliveries are scheduled to begin by the end of May 2026. The FF.C6 is priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom) and ₹1.99 lakh under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model.
