ZEVA has unveiled the design of its new aircraft, the ZEVA Z2, a wing-bodied eVTOL aircraft for cargo and emergency transport that will replace the company’s ZEVA Zero concept. The Z2 borrows several elements from the Zero, including the distinctive disc-shaped wing carrying one pilot and small cargo loads of food, ammunition and other supplies.

Former Airbus executive Valerie Manning is one of the latest aviation experts to join the leadership team at California-based Overair. Manning will act as the company’s chief commercial officer as of Sept. 1. She was previously the senior vice president of training and flight operation services at Airbus.

The companies have signed a letter of intent that would see MintAir purchase up to 40 of Jaunt’s eVTOL aircraft for deployment in the Korean market. MintAir will also serve as Jaunt’s exclusive advanced air mobility (AAM) partner in the region.

Volocopter is preparing to fully simulate and test its VoloIQ digital platform in the coming months — ahead of demonstrating the technology within the next two years, the company told eVTOL.com. V-Star Powered Lift Aviation recently announced a deal with Dufour Aerospace to acquire VTOL aircraft for the Australian market and the wider Oceania region. The agreement will see V-Star purchase 25% of the first two years of Dufour’s manufacture of its two hybrid-electric, tilt-wing platforms: the Aero2 drone and the Aero3 eight-seater aircraft. V-Star is a new Australian company formed through the merger of two South Australian aviation businesses.
