0 Maisie Peters performing at El Rey Theatre (Wikimedia Commons) British singer-songwriter, Maisie Peters, released her hotly anticipated third studio album, Florescence, last Friday 22nd May. Having released five singles in the build-up to the album’s release – ‘You You You’, ‘Audrey Hepburn’, ‘Say My Name In Your Sleep’, ‘My Regards’, and ‘Kingmaker’ – the full record adds a further 10 tracks, to take the total to 15. This number will become important as the review goes on.

0 Philip Selway at home studio (Amelie Marah) I met Philip Selway at his home studio one morning in April, around four months after the conclusion of Radiohead’s European tour in December. The band reunited last year to play together after a seven-year absence performing a four-show residency in each of five cities across Europe. After attending shows in Berlin and London (reviewed here), I was keen to speak to Philip about the tour, and also his musical career more broadly.
Exeter Debating Union — Society Spotlight
0 Exeter University campus (Wikimedia Commons) The Exeter Debating Union is divided into two crucial sections: intervarsity debating (i.e., going to competitions), and ‘show’ debates on a Friday, where guest speakers debate a variety of issues for an audience. Those who are interested in the intervarsity side of things are free to attend training sessions on both a Monday and/or a Wednesday. Mondays focus on standard training followed by a debate whilst Wednesdays are more advanced.

0 Jack and the Beanstalk taken by Sofia Tapia Last Christmas, posters advertising various pantomimes appeared throughout Exeter these last few weeks. One of these was Jack and the Beanstalk, which took place right on campus at Exeter Northcott Theatre. With its great location and cheap prices (available for people under 26 for specific nights), the play offered the perfect opportunity for students to celebrate in full Christmas spirit.
