We learned with the seventh volume of the manga adaptation on June 13th, 2025, that The Ogren’s Bride was getting an anime adaptation. Known originally as Oni no Hanayome, the original novel series from writer Kureha and illustrator Yu Shiratani began in 2020 and has nine volumes so far. A manga adaptation by Jun Togashi began in 2022, which is released in English by MangaPlaza. It has six volumes out so far as serialized through noicomi for Starts Shuppan.

Known originally as Zatsuyou Fuyojutsushi ga Jibun no Saikyou ni Kidzuku made, it began in 2021.

©TEMPAL Animation Partners With a novel and webtoon, the Overgeared property is making the leap to anime. It’ll be e known as Tempal: The Power of Items when it arrives there in October 2026. The novel comes from Park Saenai with the webtoon by Lee Dong-Wook and Team Argo, which is being released in English by Ize Press. The series has Ayako Kono directing it from the series composition by Kenta Ihara. Ryosuke Tanigawa is handling the character designs with JC Staff on the animation production.

©ナカシマ723／ロケット商会／リイド社・製作委員会のクズ Another light novel is on track for an anime adaptation with Scum of the Brave, which comes from the original work by writer Rocket Shokai and illustrator Yuya Kusaka. The series was announced in March 2025 without much in the way of details. The project has Shinji Ushiro directing it from the series composition by Yoichi Kato. Rika Murakami is handling the character designs, with OLM handling the animation production.

Nexon brings to Senseis of the popular online game Blue Archive an immersive experience and a weekend full of in-person content to this year’s Anime Expo! Located in South Hall, the Nexon booth highlighted both Blue Archive and the new upcoming game, currently known as Project Rx with numerous participation experiences including a Stamp Rally, mini-games and meeting cosplayers of their favorite characters.

With an April 6th, 2022, premiere for the second season series, the third season arrived with an October 6th, 2023, premiere date.

© CLAMP・ST／講談社・TMS With Discotek Media having brought out a license-rescued version of the 1998 Magic Knight Rayearth back in 2015 on home video, it’s seen various distribution over the years. We talked last year about a new project in the works, and in October 2025, it was formalized with a 2026 release plan. That was later set for an October 2026 debut that has Yui Miura directing it from the scripts overseen by Shigeru Murakoshi.

©大崎アイル・オーバーラップ/信者ゼロ製作委員会 Another light novel series is making the leap to an anime with Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers, which is known originally as Shinja Zero no Megami-sama to Hajimeru Isekai Kōryaku. The novel series began as a webnovel in 2018 and saw compiled releases starting in 2019 through Overlapy. There are twelve volumes so far of the novel, and a manga that has nine volumes, both of which are released in English by J-Novel Club.

©Yoshimurakana/SQUARE ENIX,MURCIÉLAGO Project HIDIVE has announced a new pickup of a property that has just been announced for an anime adaptation with Murcielago. The series is planned for a 2027 debut with HIDIVE streaming it exclusively in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
