The Galaxy Express Milky☆Subway anime is getting some new attention as Netflix saw a June 1st, 2026, premiere date for the film version of it. You can find the film page here, where it showcases the English-dubbed clip from it. While we’re waiting on the streaming side of it, the property is also getting some additional attention in Japan as it’s nabbed the 10/2026 issue cover of Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine as the second manga volume comes out.

©てつりょー！meet with 鉄道むすめ A new original TV anime series is lined up for 2026 with the October 2025 announcement of Tetsuryō! meet with Tetsudō Musume. The property is based on the Railway Girls characters, and it has Misuzu Hoshino directing it from the scripts overseen by Aya Satsuki. It’s been credited to the original idea by Kisetsu Morita, who worked with TOMYTEC to create it. Hisanori Hashimoto is handling the character designs with East Fish Studio on the animation production.

Magazine cover spots can do a lot to draw attention to a title, and the Toraou no Hanayome-san (虎王の花嫁さん) manga series is getting just that. The property has now scored the upcoming 15/2026 cover for Betsucomi, as you can see below. The manga began in 2023 in the magazine from Yui Harada and has eleven volumes so far. It hasn’t been picked up in English yet. Harada made their debut in 2013 with Nishuukan Kareshi and has fifteen works to their name so far.

© 2026 とーわ ・ 風花風花 / Kadokawa / 世界最強の後衛製作委員会 Way back in 2019, we talked about how Yen Press had acquired World’s Strongest Rearguard: Labyrinth Country & Dungeon Seekers. Known as Sekai Saikyō no Kōei ~Meikyūkoku no Shinjin Tansakusha in its original form, it comes from writer Tōwa and artist Hūka Kazabana. It began in 2017 and has nine volumes out as of this month. Check out the novel’s official site here. Back in September 2025, a TV anime was announced, and it saw a July 5th, 2026, premiere.

With plans for a summer 2026 debut, the manga series The World Is Dancing (ワールド イズ ダンシング) is getting an anime adaptation, as announced in January 2026. The manga comes from creator Kazuto Mihara, which began in 2021 and wrapped up with six volumes. The anime adaptation has ste Toshimasa Kuroyanagi as the director, and has Keigo Sasaki on the character designs. Cygames Pictures is handling the animation production.

©Hiro Yuki, Kyoto Animation/Sparks of Tomorrow Production Committee Kyoto Animation, all the way back in 2018, revealed a new anime adaptation that’s in the works with 20 Seiki Denki Mokuroku by Hiro Yuki. The original work is a novel published by the KA Esuma Bunko label that won an honorable mention at the Kyoto Animation Awards last year. The story was published on August 10th, 2018, with Momoka Nagatani handling the artwork for it.

©ハム男/アース・スター エンターテイメント/ヘルモード製作委員会 A new anime project was announced in December 2024 that was intended for a 2025 release, with an adaptation of the Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing light novels. The property comes from creators Hamuo and Mo and is released in English by J-Novel Club since 2021, with the eighth volume seeing release in December 2024.

©春日井晶・少年画報社／「踊る千年家族」製作委員会 The ongoing manga series Odoru Sennen Kazoku is making the leap to anime as of the July 2026 announcement. The manga comes from Sho Kasugai, which began in 2021 in the magazine for Shoenen Gahosha, and has nine volumes as of July 2026. Kasugai made their debut in 2009 with Genez and has had two other titles since. The anime adaptation has set Masato Jinbo to direct it from the scripts that they’re also supervising.

© 2016 Ukami / KADOKAWA CORPORATION AMW / Gabriel Dropout PARTNERS The winter 2017 anime series Gabriel Dropout saw distribution through Crunchyroll previously, and had a few different streaming presentations and home video releases around the world. Now, the focus is on the manga, which began back in 2014 as serialized in Comic Dengeki DaiohG.

© Nanigashi Shima – SB Creative Corp. / Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky Partners Fans of the Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky novel, which is released in English by Yen Press, have more reason to be happy as the property was announced in November 2025 as set for both a live-action and anime TV project in Japan. The live-action series saw a December 11th, 2025, broadcast through MBS. Ryoam Kosasa is directing the series.
