Kyren Williams will take on a larger role with the Rams in 2024 but not in the way most would think. While an increased workload is typically positive in fantasy, Williams' new role in the offense leaves his value up in the air. Multiple sources report that head coach Sean McVay surprised everyone on Aug. 27 by announcing that Williams would be the Rams' primary punt returner for the 2024 season.

The former third-round pick was traded to the Packers on Aug. 26 By Jaren Kawada | 10:00 AM EDT After just two years in Tennessee, former third-round pick Malik Willis will have a new home in Green Bay. The dual-threat quarterback is expected to back up Jordan Love, potentially increasing his value in dynasty leagues. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the trade on Aug. 26, noting that Willis was exchanged for a 2025 seventh-round pick.

The 2024 NFL preseason is now in the books and Week 1 is officially on the clock. Fantasy football is finally back in full swing. The preseason may seem unimportant in fantasy with it primarily featuring backups and rookies but every week, new developments affect the fantasy landscape. Each team has now played three exhibition games with most showing their hands on starting lineups, rotation schemes, and play styles.

The Kansas City Chiefs continue to add depth to their receiver room by bringing back a familiar face. As Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported on Aug. 26, the Chiefs signed veteran JuJu Smith-Schuster to their active roster, who had been waived by New England the previous week. Smith-Schuster spent the 2022 season with Kansas City and led all receivers with 933 receiving yards while being second on the team overall behind tight end Travis Kelce.

As a result, New England brought in Joey Slye to compete for the job in the offseason, leading to a real chance Ryland is not on the roster by Week 1.

10. Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas Raiders 2023 rank: 24 Field goals: 26-30 (87%) Extra points: 32-32 (100%) Carlson came crashing back down to Earth after three strong seasons from 2020 to 2022. While his struggles were largely due to the horrid quarterback play of Jimmy Garoppolo and Aidan O'Connell, Carlson finished with his fewest field goal attempts, makes and overall points since 2019.

Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals 2023 rank: 31 Field goals: 28-33 (84%) Extra points: 22-23 (96%) Without Kyler Murray for half the season, Prater just could not get enough opportunities to make a difference as the offense struggled in 2023. His production unsurprisingly picked up late in the year but still finished with just 23 extra point attempts.

Perhaps no positional rankings are as volatile as that of the kickers, with major shake-ups seemingly occurring every week. With so many factors affecting kicker rankings, it is nearly impossible to predict which players will end the year at the top of the position.

Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers 2023 rank: 8 Field goals: 31-33 (94%) Extra points: 35-35 (100%) In his first full season in the NFL, Dicker showed out by hitting 94 percent of his field goal attempts for 128 total points. While he has struggled to find a home, Dicker has been extremely consistent whenever given the opportunity. He has never missed a kick less than 50 yards in his career with just three total misses through 28 games.

15. Jason Myers, Seattle Seahawks 2023 rank: 4 Field goals: 35-42 (83%) Extra points: 33-33 (100%) As Seattle has gone through its ups and downs in the past half-decade, Myers has fluctuated with them, making it hard to predict how he will do each season. He finished in the top five in 2023 but still could not top his 2022 production despite taking a career-high 42 field goal attempts.
