Betway Premiership side AmaZulu FC have confirmed the departure of several players, including Bongani Zungu, while welcoming seven new signings for the new 2026/27 season. Usuthu, like most Betway Premiership teams, have been reinforcing their squad ahead of the new season. Under the guidance of coach Arthur Zwane, AmaZulu finished in an impressive fourth place last season.

Betway Premiership newcomers Kruger United have continued to significantly strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, securing the services of experienced duo Thendo Mukumela and Thabang Sibanyoni, FARPost has learnt. The newly promoted outfit remains one of the busiest in the current transfer market as they ruthlessly assemble a side capable of competing at the highest level of South African football.

Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United have announced the return of right-back Nyiko Mobbie following his departure from Siwelele FC. As recently reported by FARPost, Mobbie joins Babina Noko on a free transfer after negotiations for a new deal with Siwelele broke down. He is back at the Limpopo club, a club he left in June 2024 after a three-season stint. During his spell at Sekhukhune, Mobbie was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Orlando Pirates starlet Jabulani Mokone has been spotted at KwaZulu-Natal’s Motsepe Foundation Championship side Midlands Wanderers. The 21-year-old right-back was seen participating in Midlands Wanderers’ pre-season training camp in Mandeni, KZN, on Monday, 6 July. According to local reports, Mokone is closing in on a season-long loan switch from the Buccaneers to the second-tier outfit to secure regular first-team football.

Siwelele FC have continued their major squad overhaul, announcing a further 10 player departures today. Among the high-profile exits is Bafana Bafana international goalkeeper Ricardo Goss, who is set for a return to Mamelodi Sundowns. Goss was exceptional for the Mangaung-based side in their first season in the SA top-flight. He was one of the players who moved to the club following their purchase of SuperSport United.

Prosport International agent Mike Makaab has responded to rumours linking former Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah with a sensational move to Mamelodi Sundowns. Ndah is currently a free agent after parting ways with Stellenbosch FC,  having spent the second round of the 2025/26 season with the Winelands-based side. The Nigerian international had a short stint with Stellies after signing with the club in January 2026 as a free agent after leaving Pirates halfway through the previous season.

Rulani Mokwena and Benni McCarthy are not among the candidates in the frame for the Bafana Bafana post as SAFA steps up the process to replace outgoing head coach Hugo Broos, FARPost has learnt. The Belgian coach’s five-year tenure at the helm of South Africa has ended, but there has been talk that he might continue working for SAFA in a different capacity.
