Insilico signs on with CDMO Bora in $2.5B AI drug discovery deal
Red-hot generative AI specialist Insilico Medicine has teamed up with another major biopharma player, this time linking up with CDMO Bora Pharmaceuticals. The collaboration, which could ultimately be worth $2.5 billion, the companies said, is another in a rush of drug discovery deals forged by Insilico. Others this year that have either joined forces or upped their ante with the 12-year-old Massachusetts biotech include Eli Lilly, Servier, Takeda and SK Biosciences.
With FDA approval for its breast cancer blockbuster hopeful, Celcuity could ‘belong in the hands’ of a Big Pharma Original
The FDA has approved a new small molecule inhibitor from Celcuity with blockbuster potential that could become a new standard of care for patients with breast cancer. The regulator is allowing Celcuity to market gedatolisib, now called Revtorpyk, for previously treated patients with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer without any mutations in the PIK3CA gene. Revtorpyk is used in combination with fulvestrant and with or without Pfizer’s Ibrance (palbociclib).

Huyabio scores with Opdivo combo in 'milestone' skin cancer trial
Huyabio has scored a win in the largest oncology study it has undertaken in its 22 years, as its oral histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor HBI-8000 has succeeded in combination with Bristol Myers Squibb’s Opdivo in a phase 3 trial of patients with advanced skin cancer. The study, which included 404 melanoma patients in 15 countries, achieved its primary endpoint, as the combo produced a clinically meaningful improvement in progression-free survival.
