I wanted to get my writing recognized and published, but it took trial and error for me to get where I wanted to be.
Embracing the unknown when you’re writing
I was all set to write an article on how the writing process makes me blissfully happy. It was going to go like this: I was going to sit down in my favourite writing space (My grandmother’s couch in my living room, facing the fireplace with a freshly brewed cup of coffee by my side) and walk you through my process in my authentic writing voice. I was planning on sharing how happy it makes me feel when I write articles for newspapers, magazines and books.
The fall is a perfect season to workout
I enjoy running in the Fall because of the cooler temperatures and also hearing the leaves crunch beneath my feet while feeling inspired by the scenery that surrounds me. I also enjoy getting some fresh air and vitamin D. To be out there on a hike, run or walk helps my overall physical and mental well-being. The season also marks falling back into a regular routine, and it can be the perfect time to start or restart your program.
Preparation tips for run day
Are you run ready for your favourite event? Despite the fact that you have been in training for your upcoming event, you may still be feeling a lack of confidence in your ability. It could also be that is has been a while since your last event, in addition to the idea of running with hundreds or thousands of others can feel overwhelming. How do you set yourself up for a successful run and leave your self-doubt out the door? The key is to focus on your event only and not the actual run itself.
Christine’s five ways to stick to an exercise program
Despite how much I enjoy working out on a regular basis, there are days when it is a challenge to lace my shoes. There are various reasons for not wanting to go for that run, from not having not enough time to it being too cold. To help jumpstart into a positive mindset with my exercise regime, here are my five ways to sticking to the program successfully. • Having a mantra, and writing it down and saying it out helps gear me up to conquer anything and no matter how I am feeling that day.

Finding the motivation to start running
With cooler temperatures, and less sunlight, the motivation to lace up your shoes and run can be a challenge for some. This happened to me on a few occasions. Instead, I skipped my workout and sat on the couch feeling unhappy with a bag of chips. I felt sorry for myself and needed to make a change to how I would exercise during this time of year. Making a few adjustments to my running schedule was needed.
