Canadian digital asset platform Ndax has launched Auto Earn, a feature that automatically enrolls supported cryptocurrency holdings in staking and distributes rewards weekly. Once users activate the feature, eligible assets are enrolled daily, with rewards paid every Monday. At launch, Auto Earn supports 17 digital assets, including Ethereum, Solana, Cardano, SUI, HBAR and DOT. Ndax says the service offers annual percentage yields of up to 7.5%, depending on the asset, with no fixed lock-up period.
Canadian Banks Rank High for ‘AI Maturity’ as Deployment Accelerates
Canada’s five largest financial institutions have cracked the 2026 edition of the the Evident AI Index for Banks. Now in its fifth edition, the Evident AI Index acts as a global standard for measuring AI maturity across 50 of the world’s biggest banks through four weighted pillars: Innovation, Talent, Leadership, and Transparency. This year, AI deployment across the sector moved nearly three times faster than in previous years, according to Evident, which launched the Index in 2023.
OCAL Enters Online Auto-Selling Space with ‘Backwards on Purpose’ Approach
A Canadian company specializing in automotive financing recently revealed a milestone. OCAL Financial has funded more than 1,250 vehicle deals across British Columbia and Alberta. The fintech firm, which trades on the TSXV as OCAL, says the achievement confirms their business model works at scale. “More than twelve hundred and fifty funded deals is proof the model works in the real world, not just on a slide,” says Mehdi Moghareh, Chief Executive Officer of OCAL.
Canadian Payments Hit $12.9 Trillion as Interest in Real-Time Transfers Grows
Canadian retail payments reached $12.9 trillion across 26.7 billion transactions in 2025, as new Payments Canada research points to growing interest in faster ways to move money. The organization’s annual Canadian Payment Methods and Trends report, released today, shows payment value increased 5.7 per cent from 2024. It also found that 52 per cent of Canadians find real-time payments appealing.
Wise Adds Travel eSIM Plans for Canadians, Expands QR Payments
Wise has launched customizable travel eSIM plans for Canadian customers alongside an expansion of cross-border QR payments, bringing mobile connectivity and more ways to pay into its app. The eSIM offering includes coverage across more than 150 destinations, with customizable plans for select markets. Travellers can choose their data allowance and trip duration, purchase plans through Wise, and install the eSIM once for use across multiple trips.
Dext Launches Payments in Canada After $2 Million Beta Run
Dext has launched Dext Payments in Canada, bringing supplier invoice and employee expense payments into its AI-powered bookkeeping platform. The feature is available to Canadian customers using QuickBooks Online and Xero, including those in Quebec. Canadian businesses and their advisers processed more than $2 million during beta testing, according to the company. Canada is the first market outside the UK to receive the feature.

The company says membership supports its efforts to build faster, more transparent ways for customers to move money across borders.
