Mental health is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as “a state of wellbeing in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to their community.” Most people struggle with their mental health from time to time, whether it’s brought on by stress from work, financial issues or relationship strain.

Women have always been integral to the advancement of pharmacy, science, and education, and I have witnessed this impact firsthand throughout my own journey. In pharmacy, women contribute not only through scientific knowledge and clinical expertise, but also through compassion, leadership, and mentorship.

Sunday, 30 August, 17:00 – 18:00 Exhibition Hall FIP and the hosting partners invite all participants and accompanying persons for a warm and festive welcome reception immediately after the opening ceremony. All guests will be treated to drinks and a selection of typical Canadian food in the perfect setting for catching up with old friends and making new ones. Dress code: The Opening Ceremony and the Welcome Reception are opportunities to showcase your national costume, so feel free to dress up.

International Zero Waste Day, observed annually on March 30, highlights the importance of reducing waste and promoting sustainable consumption across all sectors, including health care. Pharmacists are increasingly recognised as important contributors to these efforts because of their central role in managing medicines throughout their lifecycle—from procurement and prescribing support to dispensing and disposal.

FIP makes it a priority to publish the latest developments in pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical sciences, related global news and prominent events. Our multi-media approach to keeping members, partners and peers informed of what is and will be affecting their area of practice or science is key to keeping information flowing through the FIP network.
