Stoughton Trailers has added a new dealer in the Southeast through a partnership with Peach State Truck Centers, expanding trailer sales and service coverage in Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. The agreement includes the launch of Sovereign Trailers, a dedicated commercial trailer dealership that will represent Stoughton’s product line in the region. Peach State, which operates 14 locations and employs more than 700 people, will support trailer parts and service through its existing network.

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence will host a free webinar titled “Introduction to Inductive Current Probes” on Tuesday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. ET. The session will be led by WORLDPAC’s Adam Robertson, who will demonstrate how inductive current probes can be used as a fast, non-intrusive way to evaluate circuit and component behavior under load using measurable electrical patterns.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) has formally approved its next-generation heavy-duty engine oil specification, Proposed Category 12 (PC-12), clearing the way for new service classifications and licensing ahead of the 2027 model year. With the approval, the API Service Category CL-4 and API FB-4 certification marks, commonly known as the “Donut”, are now available for use.

Road Ready has launched a new online training platform aimed at helping fleets and technicians better utilize its trailer telematics system without pulling staff off the shop floor. Called Road Ready University, the self-paced program offers step-by-step modules covering system installation, use of the Fus1on dashboard, and interpretation of trailer data. The goal is to shorten onboarding time and ensure users can translate telematics insights into improved uptime and maintenance decisions.

Fullbay has announced the acquisition of Pitstop, adding predictive maintenance tools to its shop management platform. The integration will combine Pitstop’s modeling technology with Fullbay's repair and service data from more than 5,000 shops and $6.5 billion in annual service activity, which the company says will help fleets better anticipate maintenance issues before they impact operations.

NASHVILLE—Cummins unveiled its 2027 X15 at the 2026 TMC Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition, a next-gen heavy-duty diesel engine designed to meet EPA standards without sacrificing the platform’s core focus: reliability and serviceability. The engine also introduces a 48-volt alternator and electric heating system to support a new heated aftertreatment strategy aimed at meeting stricter 2027 NOx limits, particularly during cold starts and low-load operation.
