You need to prepare in advance by simply thinking about when and where you’d be interested in going. We really aren’t excited about cruises ourselves, but we know a lot of people do. My concrete example of how to use an online shopping portal properly
Especially since there’s an incredible promotion for 20 Aeroplan points per dollar right now (≈ 30% back or ≈ 60% for business class); definitely don’t miss it if you need bedding. So it’s a good time to show you again just how simple it is. You should read the basics of online shopping portals first.
5 updates on online shopping portals: 20X Aeroplan, Amazon Prime, 10% cashback, new portal, and ex-AIR MILES
You can read the basics on online shopping portals if you’re not familiar with them. They give you rewards so easily. It’s obviously very few points compared to welcome bonuses, but it’s on top of that. It just makes no sense to deprive yourself of it. It’s one of the best ways to earn more. 14 stops on our epic roadtrip itinerary in Albania
We simply loved this roadtrip. It’s one of our favorite countries in Europe. Albania is certainly one of the best-kept secrets in Europe (secret in part because the country was a socialist dictatorship completely closed off to the rest of the world until not so long ago). It’s also cheaper than most other destinations on the old continent… and just as beautiful. New offers: Amex, BMO, TD, RBC
It’s been a while since we’ve done an update on the new travel rewards deals, and there are several really interesting ones. The 2 best premium cards in Canada have their best offers of the year, BMO has a “new” card, and finally TD and RBC have a few changes.
New plane seat headrest model on Emirates
At least at the back of the plane! Can this new headrest improve the experience? It just started being installed on Emirates’ new economy class seats, and the photo is circulating quite a bit. We wanted to take the opportunity to also talk about comfort in economy class. Flytrippers helps you travel for less with our 3 types of content, namely flight deals, travel rewards, and tips/inspiration/news. Here are the details of the new headrest type on Emirates. Here’s what it was like to land at Porter’s new Montreal airport on opening day
One of the best deals in Canada gives you automatic VIPorter elite status: free checked bags, free full-size carry-on bags, free seat selection, priority boarding, etc. And most importantly, it gives you a huge welcome bonus of ≈ $1391 in free flights (redeemable on Air Transat too, not just on Porter). All you need to do is get the excellent BMO VIPorter World Elite Mastercard that we highly recommend.
Ebola: Canada imposes a mandatory 21-day quarantine
Unsurprisingly, many people overreacted to the recent news about hantavirus on the cruise ship; experts aren’t particularly worried about that one, though. But Ebola is a different story… There’s obviously no need to panic, but it’s unfortunately something to monitor now. Flytrippers helps you travel for less with our 3 types of content, namely flight deals, travel rewards, and tips/inspiration/news. Here’s what you need to know about Canada’s new Ebola rules. What are Canada’s new rules for Ebola?

My experience transiting through Qatar during the Middle East conflict
The best current deal allows you to get 25 hours in business class with a single bonus, via Qatar. There’s (very obviously) no risk in terms of safety, but there was certainly a risk in terms of flight disruptions, and many travelers are still worried about that. Honestly, it’s not really warranted anymore. At least for the routes that have restarted, and at least for now (it could obviously change).
