Tuesday, 08 September, 2026 Fourth-year food technology student Ed Ron Ng at Massey University is exploring how food processing by-products can be transformed into sustainable, high-performance packaging materials thanks to a new scholarship from Revo Packaging.

The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) has announced that Dr Mark Krstic will be stepping down as Managing Director at the end of 2026, following seven years of leadership and a total of 15 years of service to the AWRI. Since becoming Managing Director in December 2019, Krstic has led the AWRI through a period of considerable challenges and change, maintaining focus on practical, industry-relevant science and support.

igus has developed the drylin W linear guide with a polymer carriage that can be removed for cleaning without tools. The system has EHEDG certification, making it officially approved for food technology. Almost every designer of automation solutions for the food industry works with linear guides.
