The new range introduces the Biscoff Sandwich and the Biscoff 425 mL Tub. The sandwich combines a frozen dessert between two biscuits, while the tub features the frozen dessert with generous Biscoff swirls and crunchy biscuit pieces.
Advances in the kokumi 'taste sensation' for food
Kokumi is a Japanese word that means “rich taste”. The taste of kokumi works outside the five basic tastes of sweet, salty, sour, bitter and umami to enhance the perceived texture and flavour complexity of food. Kokumi is elicited by kokumi substances, which are often γ-glutamyl peptides, or small amino acid chains with a unique peptide bond involving the gamma-carboxyl group of the amino acid glutamate.

Tetra Pak appointed Michael Wu as Managing Director of its Oceania business on 1 September 2026. Wu brings 18 years of experience across Tetra Pak’s global business, including serving as Managing Director for Tetra Pak Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia. In his new role, he will lead the company’s operations in Australia and New Zealand and continue supporting customers and partners across the region’s food and beverage sector.

igus has developed the drylin W linear guide with a polymer carriage that can be removed for cleaning without tools. The system has EHEDG certification, making it officially approved for food technology. Almost every designer of automation solutions for the food industry works with linear guides. For example, they enable the movement of sealing stations in thermoforming packaging machines, the positioning of dosing heads in filling systems and the guiding of knife units in bread slicers.
