Search ArticlesIs football having a fashion moment?
Credit: Launchmetrics/Spotlight. I’ll be honest – I am not a sports fan. Nor would I claim to be. But lately, it’s everywhere and in my daily orbit from the minute I wake up. Before 7am the TV is on for World Cup matches, and I’ve somehow found myself in the family football sweepstakes – living with a football-mad husband and football-mad children will do that to you. I’ve still got Spain in the mix, for what it’s worth. And somehow, despite myself, it’s hard not to get caught up in the fever.
Why I got a breast reduction: Lauren Brodie on surgery, recovery and body image
Lauren Brodie after the surgery. I’ve always had a contentious relationship with my body, and my chest size formed a large part of that. From the awkward pre-teenage years hiding them under baggy clothing when they grew sooner than my peers, to university where people were watching The Girls of the Playboy Mansion, Geordie Shore, and low-cut tank tops with visible bras were everywhere.

5 things we loved this week
1. A new season, a new store RUBY is proving physical retail still has a pulse with the reopening of its completely reimagined Newmarket store on Teed Street, reworked in a soft pink palette as a new home for its Rubettes. The move comes as many shopping precincts face closures and shifting consumer habits, making RUBY’s investment in bricks and mortar a confident statement on the enduring pull of in-person shopping.
Sarah Jayne Kavali on paint, permanence, and the courage to start over
Image: Luke Foley-Martin/Supplied I think women are far too afraid of changing the room. And I don’t just mean the room itself. I mean changing the energy. Rearranging the furniture. Painting the walls. Letting things go. Beginning again. I think somewhere along the way we’ve become convinced that once a space is “done”, that’s it. Finished. Locked in. As though moving a chair somehow means we’ve failed at making the right decision the first time.
The business of modelling: Inside the eye of Tia Harris
There’s a difference between spotting a beautiful face and recognising potential, and Tia Harris has built a career on knowing the distinction. A model since her early teens, Harris now works behind the scenes at 62 Management as an agent and booker, shaping the next wave of talent with a sharp eye. In conversation with Tia Harris… I’m Tia. I’m a 26-year-old model, agent, and booker, and I sometimes create content as well.
12+ Peplum Pieces: Shop the shape everyone’s wearing again
Stella McCartney S26. Credit: Launchmetrics/Spotlight. Peplum is having a comeback — but not the one you remember. This season’s iteration trades the ruffled excess of decades past for something sharper: structured waists, architectural volume, and a corsetry-inspired silhouette that feels considerably more directional than throwback.
In the Fold: Jess Molina on fashion’s newest ‘tech-cessory’
Logitech Mobi Fold, $160. I was at an event recently when someone asked what on earth was inside my oversized bag. Fair question. Lately, it feels like I’m carrying my entire life around with me. Between appointments, meetings and events, I’m constantly moving around the city, so I like having everything I need within reach, including my laptop for those in-between moments when work has to happen on the go.

Imagery: Launchmetrics/Spotlight & Jacquemus. 1. Sun, sea and Le Bonheur Jacquemus proved once again why it’s the master of the runway spectacle, staging its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, aptly named ‘Le Bonheur’ (meaning happiness or bliss), along the winding trail to the Phare de la Pietra on Corsica’s Île-Rousse.
Whakapapa, Art and Matariki: Inside Pandora’s collaboration with Dreamgirls Art Collective
Pictured: Miriama Grace-Smith, Xoë Hall, and Gina Kiel from Dreamgirls Art Collective. Jewellery has long been used as a quiet marker of life’s defining moments: a 21st birthday, a marriage, a new beginning, an engagement. As we move through the midpoint of 2026, that same instinct feels just as present in the act of adorning oneself to acknowledge Matariki – because finally here’s a chance for us to pause and reflect.
