With nominations having been accepted, the list of freestyle riders that will be representing America during the 2026-27 winter just dropped, and luckily for us, we have some standup talent hitting the road on our behalf.

Combining a stout metal-reinforced underfoot section with mid-soft, rockered tips and tails, the Nothing balances a surfy powder feel with directional charging power. Skiers can feather the tails in soft snow or drive forward on edge to power through tracked-out chop

Over the last three days, many notable resorts in Alberta, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado have collected some serious snow totals as temperatures dropped and the winds brought in the blower. Montana was the epicenter of this October storm , with a couple of mom-and-pop operations boasting over 18 inches of snow.

Sure, your skis might still be sitting in the garage where you left them last spring, but for a few hours the unmistakable feeling of winter creeps closer. Friends reconnect over cold bevies and filmmakers get their moment in the spotlight as the room gets louder watching deep turns and big hits.

Importantly, those same states can see anywhere from five to 15 inches of snowfall at higher elevations.

The highest reaches of South America have been blanketed in feet upon feet of snow since early June, and while it's late in the season at this point, the faucet remains open. A storm just sent nearly 43 inches of cold smoke to Valle Nevado, Chile, and the resort has taken that as a sign to extend its 2026 season through November 8.
