Harexperience has recently released Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) for X-Plane 12. Located in the San Fernando Valley, Van Nuys Airport is one of the world’s busiest general aviation airports and an important centre for business, private, charter, and flight training operations in Southern California. The airport features highly detailed texturing, accurately modelled hangars, FBOs, aprons, airport buildings, and surrounding infrastructure based on real-world references and more.

Burning Blue Design has released Enhanced Global Vegetation, a new add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 that improves the appearance and variety of vegetation worldwide. The package covers all 848 ecoregions in MSFS 2024, introducing more regionally appropriate trees, plants, grasses, crops and rocks. Vegetation density, height and species have been adjusted to create more natural-looking forests, grasslands, deserts, tundra and urban environments.

FS2Crew recently announced a major update to its Generation AI – FBW A32NX Edition, introducing two significant new features: completely free AI usage through the Comms Centre and Animated First Officer support. Following extensive user feedback, FS2Crew has removed the AI credit system from Generation AI; users can now use the Comms Centre without purchasing AI credits.

Digital Aeronautics has released a v1.2 update for its Mil Mi-2 Hoplite helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The new update now includes all the standard MSFS24 features: pilot, passengers, covers, plugs, chocks, modular system and LODs, fuel tank presets, walkaround mode and the EFB. Also included in the update are several bug fixes, system updates, flight model updates, sounds and more.

AviationLads and LAND3 Simulations have announced Cockpit2Ground (C2G), a new utility for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 designed to make communication between the cockpit and GSX ground crew considerably more dynamic. Rather than simply replacing the existing GSX voice files with new recordings, Cockpit2Ground actively monitors the simulator, aircraft and flight plan. The result is communication that changes depending on what you are actually doing during the turnaround and pushback.

FlightSimExpo 2027 takes place from June 11th to 13th at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, marking the event’s return to Las Vegas for the first time since 2024.

Project MAX has released its C212-200 Aviocar for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, bringing the rugged twin-turboprop utility aircraft to the simulator. The C212 is known for being able to operate from short and remote airfields, thanks to its high-wing design, fixed landing gear and STOL capabilities.

WINGFLEX has released its new GMP Gear Management Panel, adding another Airbus-inspired piece of hardware to its growing range of flight simulation peripherals. The GMP combines landing gear and brake pressure modules into a single setup, although both can also be positioned separately. The aluminium-alloy landing gear lever uses a Hall-effect sensor and is joined by gear status indicators, autobrake controls and a circular hydraulic pressure display.

FSimStudios has released its latest airport scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing Ilulissat Airport (BGJN) in Greenland to the simulator. FSimStudios has recreated both the existing airport and the new international airport, which is scheduled to open in October 2026. The new airport features a 2,200-metre (7,217-foot) runway, new taxiways and aprons, and a modern terminal designed to support larger aircraft and international services in a bid to boost tourism to the region.
