FULL SYNC
Online/Digital
FULLSYNC was first established in 2016 as Full Sync Gaming, the brainchild of three friends who met through the gaming community. We all spent a lot of time reviewing indie games for various websites throughout the start of our careers as amateur critics, and it didn’t take long for us to realise we could start something all of our own, something simple, clean and approachable with a focus on down-to-earth reviews. We wanted to be the journalistic equivalent of an indie game studio, “your friendly neighbourhood games site.” Our early development was fuelled by the collective efforts of streamers, game developers and companies that believed in what we were doing. Full Sync Gaming evolved into FULLSYNC, and suddenly the name made sense – we became a group of people working together to do something that couldn’t be achieved alone. Thanks to the tireless work of Joshua Maddox, the site went from strength to strength, building a solid foundation within the community we all love so much. Source

8 There are headphones made for the gym. Headphones made for the train. Headphones made for pretending you’re in a music video while doing the washing up. And then there are headphones like the OneOdio Studio Max 1; a chunky, blacked-out set of cans that look like they’ve been built for someone who actually has a use for terms like “cue mix” and “single-ear monitoring”.
NSYNC choreographer sues Sony over ‘Bye Bye Bye’ dance in Deadpool and Fortnite
15 The choreographer behind one of pop music’s most recognisable routines is taking legal action against a major music corporation, alleging his work was used without permission in a blockbuster film and one of the world’s biggest games. Darrin Henson, who created the choreography for *NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye,” has filed a lawsuit against Sony Music Holdings, claiming the company unlicensed his work for use in Deadpool & Wolverine and Fortnite.
Slay the Spire 2 sells 5.3 million copies in first month on steam early access
9 Mega Crit’s Slay the Spire 2 has had one of the most impressive Early Access launches in recent memory, and the sales figures are here to back that up. According to new data from Alinea Analytics, shared by analyst Rhys Elliott on Twitter, the game sold an estimated 5.3 million copies in March 2025 alone. That’s particularly remarkable given it only launched on Steam on 5th March, meaning it achieved those numbers in under four weeks. To date, the title has generated $108 million on Steam.
2026 is the Golden Age of the Extraction Shooter
13 Extraction shooters have officially taken over the landscape in 2026. Whilst the genre was once dominated by military sims that felt like doing your taxes in a war zone, we now have two heavy hitters that prioritize style and feel. Arc Raiders and Marathon are both vying for your time, and honestly, they both deserve it for very different reasons. One is a soulful, third-person journey through a rusted-out Earth, and the other is a neon-soaked, high-stakes sprint through a digital fever dream.
Jason Blundell forms MagicFractal after Dark Outlaw Games closure
19 Jason Blundell isn’t done yet. Just over a week after Dark Outlaw Games shut its doors, the former Treyarch veteran has announced the formation of yet another new studio, MagicFractal. The announcement came during an appearance on colleague JCbackfire’s stream, though details on what MagicFractal is actually working on remain thin on the ground.
State of Decay 3 alpha playtest sign-ups are open now
8 Undead Labs is finally letting players in. The developer has announced that sign-ups for the State of Decay 3 alpha playtest are now open, with sessions scheduled to begin next month. A new video on the official State of Decay YouTube channel saw franchise co-creator Brant Fitzgerald step up to share the news.
Behaviour Interactive rules out Dead by Daylight sequel, plans to evolve the original
15 Don’t expect a Dead by Daylight 2 anytime soon or ever, for that matter. Behaviour Interactive has made its position crystal clear, with both the studio’s head of partnerships and its creative director shooting down the idea of a sequel during a recent sit-down with IGN at the Game Developers Conference. Creative director Dave Richard admitted the conversation about doing a follow-up has come up internally more than once.
PEAK developers remind players that updates are a bonus, not a right
26 PEAK was one of 2025’s biggest indie success stories. A small, co-op climbing game born out of a game jam between Landfall Games and Aggro Crab, it became one of Steam’s best-selling and most-played titles of the year, not because it promised endless content, but because it was genuinely fun. And yet, some players still aren’t satisfied. As spotted by GamesRadar, a since-deleted tweet accused Landfall of running a “lazy dev cycle.” The studio wasn’t having it.
Marathon’s steam player base has collapsed by 60% and it’s only been a month
40 Bungie’s extraction shooter Marathon hasn’t had the strongest start, and the numbers are now telling a difficult story. Just over a month since release, the game has shed nearly 60% of its Steam player base, a worrying sign for a studio already navigating a turbulent period following Destiny 2‘s struggles.
PlayStation’s PC gaming push earned $300M in three years, but the era may already be over
22 Sony’s decision to bring PlayStation exclusives to PC quietly became a $300 million business, but it took three years to get there, and the initiative may already be winding down. That revenue figure comes from the LinkedIn profile of Jerry Liu, a former PC Planner and Insights Manager at PlayStation between January 2021 and June 2023.
