Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, says the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is the major threat to the forthcoming 2027 general elections. Yesufu made the statement in a post on her verified X handle on Thursday, stating that the commission will ruin the polls. According to her, if the electoral body takes the ‘I’ in its acronym seriously, there would be free, fair and credible elections in the country.
