Job Description Baker Industries is a small, mission-driven team with a 46-year track record of punching above its weight class. In 2016, the Chattanooga Times Free Press undertook a series to understand what was truly at the root of poverty in its community. From government officials to community members, many believed they knew the solution: raise the minimum wage, make housing more affordable. However, what the series revealed was that poverty was not a single‑issue problem. Poverty was a puzzle, and each issue was a piece of that puzzle.
