Apple has finally moved part of the Face ID system underneath the display on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. This has been done to reduce the size of the cut-out on the screen, which has been pretty much the same size since the iPhone 16 Pro. However,  the new technology appears to have created an unexpected problem with some matte screen protectors, and you can also see the lesser pixel density cutout on the display at the same time.

Sony has announced two new PlayStation Pulse wireless headsets, with the higher-end Pulse Edge finally bringing active noise cancellation (ANC) to its gaming headset lineup. The new PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge are designed to replace Sony’s previous Pulse headsets and both feature larger planar magnetic drivers. Sony says these deliver deeper, fuller bass while maintaining the sound separation and spatial accuracy introduced with the Pulse Elite.

Sony has responded after Helldivers 2 and several other PlayStation games suddenly disappeared from Steam in the UK. Players in the UK were unable to purchase or activate Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on Wednesday, although anyone who already owns the games can still download and play them. Sony has now confirmed that the games disappearing from Steam was not intentional and says it is working with Valve to resolve the issue.

The first reviews for director Zach Cregger’s live-action Resident Evil movie are in and critics are calling it the best video game movie ever made. Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have announced an official release date for Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember, the sequel to the 2023 action-RPG, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Alongside the date announcement, the publisher also confirmed that a demo, offering a vertical slice of the upcoming game, is available right now on consoles and PC.
