Darma Henwa, one of Indonesia's leading integrated mining service providers, supports operations at both Bengalon and Kintap mines. In recent months Darma Henwa expanded its operations at Bengalon, located in East Kalimantan, and is now providing its services at an additional pit. Production targets have also increased at Kintap, in the South Kalimantan region. These operational changes have brought about the need for additional machines at both locations.
Metso to deliver copper processing technologies to Viscaria mine in Sweden
Metso and Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria have signed an agreement for the delivery of key process equipment for the Viscaria copper mine in Kiruna, Sweden. The agreement supports the project’s transition into the execution phase. With an annual production of 120 000 t of copper concentrate, Viscaria aims to become Sweden’s second-largest copper producer and play an important role in the European copper market.
Akobo Minerals issues an operational update for August 2026
Akobo Minerals AB, the Scandinavian-based gold producer operating the Segele underground gold mine in Ethiopia, one of the world's highest-grade underground gold mines, provides an operational update. August delivered approximately 16 kg of doré gold at an average grade of 26 g/t, making it the company's second-best production month to date. Cumulative gold production has now reached approximately 158 kg since start-up.
