A 25-year-old man is expected to be charged with murder on Monday, 31 August, after a 29-year-old man was found dead on a road in Tuas. According to the police, they received a call for assistance along Tuas South Street 15 towards Tuas South Avenue 14 at about 10.10pm on Saturday, 29 August. Officers who arrived at the scene found the 29-year-old man lying motionless on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic.

A 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car at a road junction in Clementi on Saturday morning, 29 August. Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were alerted to the accident at the junction of Clementi Avenue 2 and Commonwealth Avenue West at about 8.45am. The woman was taken conscious to the National University Hospital. A 51-year-old male driver is assisting the police with investigations.

A corgi at Nim Gardens in Seletar has drawn animal welfare concerns after videos showed the dog, which appeared to have difficulty using its hind legs, allegedly being dragged along a grass patch by its leash.
