Sports Interactive dropped the first Football Manager 27 feature deep dive this week promising a clearer interface and smoother navigation, and my first reaction was mild dread rather than excitement. That reaction is earned after Football Manager 26 arrived with almost identical language about efficiency and clarity, then launched to Steam reviews that dipped into mostly negative territory, with the interface among the most common complaints.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the Berlin launch of the Dyson CameraJet – a €500 smart toothbrush that promises to us cameras, AI and specially designed toothpaste and mouthwash, to improve your dental hygeine. Online reports suggest it’s been mixed at best. If a toothbrush were to cost me €500, I would expect it to be pretty good.

It is free on iOS and Android, it comes from an independent developer, and it has no connection to Meta, Luxottica, Ray-Ban, Oakley or Snap.

I was massively frustrated with Netflix lately. The sheer price of it and the fact I now have a home lab filled to the gills with entertainment. So I floated the idea of cutting, the increasingly extortionate, monthly cost of Netflix from our household budget. Now, Spotify has started letting Premium subscribers in India hear selected new releases up to three days before everyone else on free plans.
