Ekene Okeke Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll 08.31.26 | Men's Soccer NEW YORK - Ekene Okeke was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. He is the first Musketeer to earn weekly honors this season. The senior defender helped the Musketeers post a shutout in the scoreless draw vs Bellarmine on Aug. 25 at Corcoran Field. Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament Bracket Set 08.31.26 | Men's Basketball, Tickets CINCINNATI - The 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament bracket was announced on Monday. The Musketeers face Texas A&M and Virginia during tournament play. Xavier opens tournament action vs Texas A&M on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The Musketeers then face Virginia on Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. on ESPN2. Xavier is competing in the event for the first time since the 2013-14 season.

Moriarty and Niesen Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll 08.31.26 | Volleyball NEW YORK – Charlotte Moriarty and Kelsey Niesen were named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday, August 31. Moriarty began her season with a match-high 17 kills against No. 4 Pittsburgh at the AVCA First Serve Tournament in Milwaukee. Through three matches, the junior has tallied 43 kills and ranks second in the BIG EAST. The outside hitter ranks sixth in points scored in the league with 45, averaging 4.09 per set.

SOUTH BEND – Xavier volleyball picked up their first win of the 2026 season, topping Notre Dame 3-1 in South Bend, Ind. Sunday, August 30. The Musketeers are now 1-2 on the season. Ava Tilden hit .275 with 15 kills to lead XU while Catherine Flaharty had 11 kills and a .318 hitting percentage. Charlotte Moriarty had a career-high 22 digs against the Fighting Irish and 10 kills with a service ace. Tilden had three of the Musketeers' first 10 points in the opening frame.

SOUTH BEND, IND. - Xavier volleyball lost 3-1 against Ball State in the first match of the Notre Dame Tournament Saturday, August 29. Charlotte Moriarty led the match in kills for the second game in a row with 16. She hit .170 with 11 digs on the afternoon. The Musketeers had a slow start down 7-14 in the opening frame before going on a 3-0 run to make it 10-14. Xavier would get within four points at 19-23 off a kill by Catherine Flaharty, but Ball State would pull through to end the set 25-19.

Allison Gonring Named Women's Golf Assistant Coach 08.26.26 | Women's Golf CINCINNATI - Head women's golf coach Stephanie Young announced the addition of Allison Gonring as an assistant coach on Wednesday. Gonring is an accomplished amateur golfer. She is a six-time match play qualifier in the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur and a three-time U.S. Women's State Team competitor. Gonring was also named to the 2022 Global Golf Post Women's Mid-Amateur First Team.

CINCINNATI -  Xavier women's soccer held off Indiana late to take a 3-2 win over the Hoosiers at Corcoran Field on Wednesday evening. Xavier struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute on Peyton Kohls' first goal of the season, of an assist from Breanna Dardano. The Musketeers doubled the lead 10 minutes later, with Brooklyn O'Brien scoring from Maria Tapia, to take a two-goal lead into halftime.
