Akron Volleyball Announces 2026 Non-Conference Schedule July 14 | Women's Volleyball AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron volleyball team, under the direction of Tyson Norton, has announced the 2026 non-conference schedule. The Zips begin the 2026 campaign at the Buccaneer Classic, hosted by East Tennessee State, from August 28-29. Akron will battle ETSU, Liberty and Auburn. Akron then turns its attention to the Hampton Inn / Indy Invitational, hosted by IU Indy and Butler, from September 3-5.

The MAC-SBC Challenge was recently extended through the 2028-29 season. The men's basketball team travels to Louisiana for the first round, while the women will host South Alabama. The second round, scheduled for Saturday, February 6, will feature Sun Belt women's teams hosting MAC opponents and MAC men's teams hosting Sun Belt opponents.
