Loans are set to become cheaper in the coming days as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reduced the repo rate by 0.25%, bringing it down to 5.25%. This decision was taken during the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting held from December 3 to 5. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra announced the rate cut on December 5. After the large-scale demolition at Chandola Lake, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has now launched one of its biggest anti-encroachment operations at Isanpur Lake in the city’s eastern zone. A woman identified as Maitri Shrimali died by suicide after jumping from the third floor of a residential building in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The incident occurred two days ago, and CCTV footage of the fall has now emerged. The exact reason behind the suicide remains unknown.
