Search ArticlesWhat Arsenal’s Title Means for PL Betting Markets Next Season
Arsenal fans have spent over two decades waiting for a league title. Now that it’s finally arrived, the question most Gooners are already asking is whether this squad can do it again. The bookmakers clearly think so. Arsenal have opened at 6/4 favourites to retain the Premier League in 2026/27, ahead of Manchester City at 5/2 and Liverpool at 5/1. But early odds only tell part of the story, and there are several factors that could move those prices sharply before the season kicks off on 22 August.
Season Review Part 3/3 – “Undebatably Elite” – (Positives Needs & Hopes) [Arsenal: Champions!]
‘Undebatably Elite’ HOPES: Arrivals: Before we start, Santi Cazorla as an assistant coach. Would bring so much joy to the fanbase and inspiration for the players. Would encourage others to value improving their weak foot more than anything else. I’ll start with my personal choices. If you know how much time I’ve spent thinking about this, you would be embarrassed for me.
Reflect on yourselves before deflecting onto The Arsenal
There are football fans who celebrate success, and then there are football fans who celebrate Arsenal not winning the Champions League as if it’s a trophy parade of their own. This is the great contradiction of the 2025/26 season: The Champions League is being contested at the highest level, actual silverware is being lifted, and yet the loudest reaction in certain corners is still, “Yes, but Arsenal didn’t win it.” Incredible. A truly historic achievement.
Season Review Part 2 – “Undeniably Elite – (Positives Needs & Hopes) [Arsenal: Champions!]
‘Undeniably Elite’ NEEDS: Balancing risk and control: This would not only help us to crack the shells of the hard eggs in the league, but make us a more entertaining team. That’s what our opponents fans seem to be demanding, anyway. I was reminded the other day when watching highlights of Martin Odegard playing for Real Madrid. Four years ago, he was playing with so much more creativity and risk. You can’t tell me that he can’t do it anymore.
Season Review Part 1 – “Undisputedly Elite – (Positives Needs & Hopes) [Arsenal: Champions!]
Menu ‘Undisputedly Elite’ Up until the month of May 2026 there was a fair argument that Arsenal Football Club were not in the same bracket as the elite. I have called Arsenal an elite club for the past two years at least but fans of other clubs had a fair argument when disputing this. I felt that impressive results against Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG, etc…., justified us being in that conversation. Perhaps I was right, but perhaps I was wrong.
If Not For Mikel… A Tribute to Arsenal’s Greatest Asset
‘If not for Mikel’ I’ve spent numerous days planning how to frame this piece. This is my attempt at finding the reason for the return of glory to Arsenal. The main reason. After thinking and overthinking, I couldn’t get away from the fact that Arsenal winning the Premier League and coming within a kick of winning the Champions League would not have happened if not for Mikel Arteta.
Process complete, Era begins
‘Process complete, Era begins’ Where do you even start? I have wrestled for a few days as to how to describe what I saw and what we are seeing at Arsenal Football Club. It seems like a seminal moment in our 140 year history. Life doesn’t always go the way that you foresee it but if I was a betting man, I’d say by the time we celebrate our 150th year that Arsenal could be the dominant force in world football. Some days I am really frustrated at the negative noise around a club on the rise.
Why Arsenal Fans Should Care About Smart Betting During Match Days
Menu Why Arsenal Fans Should Care About Smart Betting During Match Days Been following Arsenal since 2007. I was barely 14 when I started, and the way I watch games now is completely different – not just because we’re actually good again, but because I figured out how to make even dull midweek fixtures matter beyond the league table. I’m not suggesting anyone goes mental with their money.
Arsenal Title Win Musings – it’s been a long road!
Yet the obsession started in the summer, when I had no idea Arsenal just won the league, let alone went unbeaten. Euro 2004 was the first football tournament that hooked me. I cheered for England – and captain David Beckham – for reasons I cannot explain myself. I was not born in the UK. The same way I cannot explain why I started supporting Arsenal.
The monkey jumps off and the giant roars
Menu ‘The monkey jumps off and the giant roars’ There are a handful of sleeping giants in world football. Juventus, Man United, AC Milan and probably others. There are those that win frequently. Barcelona, Porto, PSG, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Man City and probably others. There are those that can’t cope with not winning and their fans and owners lose their minds way too soon and often. I can think of Real Madrid and Chelsea right now.
