According to a recent survey, Indiana has an estimated 53,075 of these, making us third in the nation behind Ohio and Pennsylvania. I just spent the weekend in Shipshewana, the heart of Amish country in Indiana. We saw a ton of Amish people and horse and buggies. We also ate lots of fried chicken and mashed potatoes and pies. Of course, the Amish eat that way because they work hard all day. We just ate that way then waddled to the next quilt shop. It was a beautiful part of the state though!
