The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will hold a Special Meeting to adopt the 2027 Budget at 5:30 p.m., and a Public Hearing on the 2026 Property Tax Rate at 5:45 p.m. on September 3, 2026, at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, The Woodlands, Texas 77381. In accordance with state law, meeting notices are posted at least three business days in advance of the scheduled date of the meeting, except as provided by Section 551.045 of the Texas Government Code.

Special Surprise: Extra comfort and smiles given to Texas Children’s The Woodlands Patients
Patients at Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands received a special surprise thanks to the generosity of Insperity employees, who donated hundreds of new stuffed animals to bring comfort and joy to children receiving care. The stuffed animals were shared with patients throughout the hospital, including children receiving care and those visiting during the day for check-ups and procedures. Each gift provided a moment of comfort and reassurance during their healthcare journey.
50 Years, No Parole: Montgomery County Jury convicts 53-year-old Man
A Montgomery County jury has convicted Bernabe Mendiola, 53, of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Young Child following a four-day trial in the 221st District Court. The Honorable Judge Lisa Michalk sentenced Mendiola to 50 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, without the possibility of parole. Beginning in late 2020, Mendiola developed a relationship with a child and gained the child’s trust by becoming a father figure in the child’s life.
